Isle
Royale.info - Donations
This site and domain was created in 1999. Since then it has been
maintained and paid for my me personally. It is truly a labor of
love. I believe the information here is of value and is not available
on the "official" sites. It has grown into a wealth of information
on the island and, I'm proud to say, probably the best source of information
for people wanting to go to the island. This has been possible by
the support of many people and the fact that it is 100% independent.
It has and hopefully, will continue to be independent and without commercial
sponsorship. I have been approached on several occasions about putting
banner ads on the site for this or that. I have declined each offer
because I felt it was not in the best interest of the site and my personal
feelings. It would cheapen it and take away from its' independence.
As I said, it is a labor of love so, the labor is not a problem.
The problem is the costs with paying for hosting and the domain.
These costs only grow with the size of the site. I believe it is
at a point now where no more space will be needed for awhile but, the costs
to maintain it's present size are still there monthly and yearly.
So, I've decided to take the route of accepting donations to help defer
some of the costs. If this site is of value to you and you can help,
any donation will be appreciated. They are not tax deductible unless
you're feeling brave (just kidding IRS) but, will help continue this site
and, frankly, might provide even more motivation for me to keep improving
it (not that I won't without it). I think you know what I mean.

previously created it but, rest assured, they will be going directly to
costs for this site.
