Isle Royale - Spring, 2002
"The South Shore Historical Expedition"

Description of the Trip...
This trip featured the southshore of the eastern end on the island.  This is and has been the most populated section on the island and features many historical sites along with absolutely beautiful and serene views of the island and Lake Superior.  We were off of "the big lake" only one night.  The vistas and peace it offers is beyond words.  It is a peaceful in touch feeling that I have only felt a few times in my life and, I cherish each of those times.
There were not many miles covered on this trip.  It was designed to both see historical sites and allow lot's of time for reflection.
