Isle Royale 1998
The Minong Ridge

Overview...
        This trip was taken by Steve Bauer, Brian Evans, Bob Kuras, Roger Kuras and Me.  We took the boat from Grand Portage, Minnesota to Washington Harbor and taxied around to McCargoe Cove where we were dropped off.  We then hiked along the Minong Ridge on the north side of the island back to Washington Harbor (Windigo).

Itinerary...
 Day One @7:00 p.m.:  Leave Port Huron, Michigan
Day Two @10:00 a.m.:  Arrive Grand Portage, Minnesota
                    Day Three:  Boat to Isle Royale  (22 miles / 3 hours)
                                               Boat to McCargoe Cove
                      Day Four:  McCargo Cove to Todd Harbor  (6.7 miles)
                        Day Five:  Todd Harbor to Little Todd Harbor  (6.8 miles)
                         Day Six:  Little Todd Harbor to North Lake Desor  (5.7 miles)
                    Day Seven:  North Lake Desor to somewhere on the ridge (@7.4 miles)
                     Day Eight:  somewhere on the ridge to Huginnin Cove (@7 miles)
                       Day Nine:  Huginnin Cove
                        Day Ten:  Huginnin Cove to Washington Harbor (4 miles)
                   Day Eleven:  Boat to Grand Portage, Minnesota
                  Day Twelve:  Grand Portage, Minnesota to Port Huron, Michigan
