Description of the Trip...

This trip I drove from Port Huron, Michigan to Grand Portage, Minnesota and took the first trip of the Voyageur II for the year and was dropped off at Windigo on Isle Royale.  I hiked the Feldtmann Ridge trail counter-clockwise around up to the Greenstone Ridge then, to Lake Desor and down the Ishpeming trail to Malone Bay where I was picked up by the Voyageur II and taken back to Grand Portage.
I took this trip by myself.  It is the first time I have ever gone to the island "solo" and the longest trip I have ever done by myself.
