IsleRoyale.Info - 2005 Trip Log

    This page provides a listing of people who are planning trips or, who have taken trips to Isle Royale. It is meant to enable people to possibly meet or, discuss planned trips with people who are taking or, have taken similar trips.
    If you wish to add your trip, go to the Trip Log Form. If you have already made your entry and would like something changed, either fill out the form again with the changes or, E-mail me direct with the changes.
    There are also links to trip reports if they have been submitted to me (and I have had time to put them up). If they have, there will be a link on the Itinerary section of the chart. Click on it and it will bring up the their trip report.
    If you wish to submit a report on your trip, E-mail it to me as a attachment in word or text format or, just send it through as email. If you want it formatted with bolds, underlines, etc., Word works best for me. Once submitted, I will try and get it posted as soon as I can.

From there we will head to Chippewa depending on the weather or down to Moskey Basin. And will paddle from either weather dependant, returning to Rock Harbor on Thursday or Friday. Depending on how the legs feel we may do the Huggin cove trail as part of the last day to check it out for the first time.

From there, it's all what we feel like doing at the time: 3rd either Washington Creek, Feldtman Lake, or Island Mine. Nights at S. Desor and Hatchet Lake. Probably a night at Todd Harbor and Lake Richie. Lane Cove (probably, and possibly 2 nights if we decide to hike the WHOLE Greenstone), with Rock Harbor (maybe 3 mile) Wed the 10th.

Monday-Lake Desor North 14.4 miles, Hatchet Lake 12.3 miles. Tuesday- Island Mine 12.8 miles. Wednesday-Huginnnin Cove 10.0 miles. Thursday-Windigo 4.3 miles, Wenonah to Grand Portage. We live in southern Michigan. It would be shorter to drive to Copper. Harbor than to Grand Portage, but since we want to hike the west end of the island our overall travel time is much shorter since we will only have to take one boat instead of two.
